A Giveaway! Hey Kitty Kitty...

The Process of Kitting Designs:
They are coming in everyday,  all the wonderful fibers for my new designs.  Opening a box from the various companies is mouthwatering!  I want to say this is my favorite part of the kitting process, but then I also love designing the packaging, deciding which container, bag, box I want to use, packing it all in tissue paper...

Well in the meantime I've devised an interesting experiment, (crazy?!).

Photo One - A gorgeous mess

Photo Two - Gorgeous order

Now, here is how you participate in this experiment...  I want to know which of the two photos above is more appealing to you. The same threads, even the same amount of threads, just obviously presented differently.  What makes you happier?  Why? What does this say about you?

Want incentive to answer?  Well, of course!!  Send me your response to these photos and I will randomly choose two winners to receive grab-bags of threads and a miniature frame as shown below, (the threads may differ as there will be two winners)!!

I will choose the two lucky ones on Friday, November 9th.  Can't wait to hear from you!

For me, the second one is MUCH more appealing. I'm all about the order. Random messes leave me sweaty and hyperventilating.

Thanks for the giveaway!

I prefer the first photo from a visual perspective. There seem to be more possibilities and what ifs and excitement trapped in the random pile.

But if I were kitting up a design then the order would appeal more as then I'd be able to find things better.

Amy  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:33 AM)

I like the first "messy" photo. So many possibilities and combinations. The second photo is boring and doesn't hold my interest as long.

MNStitcher  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:36 AM)

I like the first one - its like opening a present. With each thread you pick up you never know what is under it. So many possibilities and so many possible surprises! Yes, the second one is how I would love my stash organized so I could find things, but the first picture is so much more fun to look at and to explore.

Susan Bailey –   – (November 6, 2012 at 7:36 AM)

I like the second one. The first one you can not see all the colors presented. Yes this is my first chocolate! :)

Anonymous –   – (November 6, 2012 at 7:36 AM)

Photo Number Two...I try to be neat and have all my fiber/materials in order. I'm able to "see" my project and change or tweak if I see a different perspective as I work on it.

I've never won anything and hope I will have a lucky week. Thank you for your designs. Dee Havertown Pa

Rolyn  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:40 AM)

A gorgeous mess....definitely a gorgeous mess!

Anonymous –   – (November 6, 2012 at 7:41 AM)

I loved them both, but would probably be more likely to want to "play" in the first one. If I knew exactly what I wanted, the second one would be better. I'm not much help, am I?

Carole  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:41 AM)

I prefer the first photo as I would be able to feel all the wonderful threads as I search for the right one. It is much more appealing to me; the second photo actually leaves me cold. To me there is nothing better than reaching into a pile of threads and seeing what I can come up with. I think I am a very tactile person rather than a neat freak. And my stash attests to that! LOL

Sandy Nelson –   – (November 6, 2012 at 7:41 AM)

odevanI love the first photo. It's easier to see how the colors play against and with each other.

Sandy Nelson

Kelly  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:42 AM)

I like the top photo. In the second photo, I see a lot of fall colors and then some pink and blue thrown in. The pastels are bugging me in that photo. They do not stand out in the messy pile of thread.

Enjoy your time in all this thread goodness!

NCPat  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:43 AM)

I am all about organized, so I vote for number 2! I like the other one, but my eye is drawn to 2.

Heather M.  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:44 AM)

I like the first one. While the other one is neater, the first is more interesting to me.

Sallie  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:45 AM)

I abosolutely think the first photograph is more appealing. It makes me want to get my hands on the fibers, to feel the textures and weights and to move them around to try different color combinations. Definitely messy!

Kay McQuie –   – (November 6, 2012 at 7:45 AM)

I chose the first one, because it's like the very beginning of a new project which is about the most exciting time with oodles of possibilities and choices. The wholw world is ahead of you then. And after that you put the parts in oder and get to work.

Unknown  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:47 AM)

I am a cornucopia fan...I love overflowing items with varying degrees of exposure as the threads might actually be used. The regulated and orderly one shows the colors clearly but leaves out the impression of how the colors and textures interact.

Barb Gallagher  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:47 AM)

I like the first picture. I spend way too much time organizing my stash and not enough being free to stitch with threads from a gorgeous mess.

Birdie  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:47 AM)

I like the second one because I can make out the colors so much better. It's easier for me to imagine what colors I would use and how because I can clearly see the contrast between the variety of colors.

Deepa  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:52 AM)

Visually I like the first one..though the second one is about order,it also means repetition to me and repetition does not interest me at all.
The first one in itself tells you how color combos will work..delicious!!
Thank u for being so generous!!

Deepa

Sparkly Rock Girl  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:55 AM)

Oh Gorgeous Order for sure. Just as I am attracted to the geometric, the alphabetic, the symmetrical, I ALWAYS go for order. Tessellations would be the prime example in my stash. Orderliness gives you peace and space to create something without all that visual 'noise'. What it says about me?? Well Mr Freud would think I was very repressed I am sure! Control freak is probably the modern take :-)

I took a scrap quilt class from Pepper Cory and as I worked away she noticed: you're not very scrappy are you? ! I prefer photo 2, it's calming. Photo 1 makes me nervous. Interesting, because if you saw my house you'd notice it looks just like photo 1!

Elaine  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:00 AM)

wenhkc  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:03 AM)

Definitely the second photo. I like to pick and choose and make my own "messy" pile.

Marjean  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:12 AM)

I like picture number 2. Picture number one looks like a hot mess!

Lynne –   – (November 6, 2012 at 8:16 AM)

The first photo appeals to me more. I imagine standing at a table with that pile of threads in front of me and it makes me happy. Part of the joy of needlework, for me, is handling the threads, turning them over and over in my hands, seeing how the light plays off of the spools and skeins, and feeling the textures of the fibers. I love to sort and combine and play!

LeslieD  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:23 AM)

I like the second one, since I love color and the "chunks" of color are very appealing and more "colorful" than in the first photo.
-Leslie Dunleavy

Jan  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:35 AM)

Oooh!! The first one! I love the feel of all the threads mixed together. Even if I bought specific threads for a project, seeing them all in a jumble might inspire me to use some of the threads together that I hadn't thought of before. I like the surprise of mixing colors in a different way to get different results.

Nancy L  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:42 AM)

Much as I would like to be drawn to Photo 1, I must choose #2. Somehow I feel more settled with organization. It calms me!

Cristina –   – (November 6, 2012 at 8:46 AM)

I like the first shot much more: it's so more appealing. All those wonderful threads and colours mixed up together! It is really an eyecandy.
But if I would choose a thread to buy, I would prefer to choose from a more tidy photo, the second one.

Unknown  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:55 AM)

Hi Orna,
I prefer the second photo b/c it's so neat and tidy. The first photo kind of confuses me although it is pretty. Thank you for this drawing!

Anna

Anonymous –   – (November 6, 2012 at 9:07 AM)

I am more of an order person so at first glance photo 2 appeals to me but then I would probably throw them all together to stitch so photo 1 would be my stitching nest.

Wanda  – (November 6, 2012 at 9:25 AM)

I like photo one!!!! the colors, textures, and fibers are all being allowed to dance with one another creating color combos to explore!!!

Amanda  – (November 6, 2012 at 9:28 AM)

I like the second photo, I love being able to see all the colors and the possibilities that come with it.

ckiml8r  – (November 6, 2012 at 9:35 AM)

I like both, but if I had to choose, I'd pick the second!

Gail –   – (November 6, 2012 at 10:05 AM)

I prefer the second one. My house may look more like the first one, but I am very anal about organizing my threads.

Carol Spezowka  – (November 6, 2012 at 10:24 AM)

The first looks too much like my house - hard to know what I have or where it is. I prefer the second - how I wish my house looked. It's easy to see what's included and easy to find what you want.
Carol

Kathryn –   – (November 6, 2012 at 11:08 AM)

I love the first one -- being able to see the colors next to each other! It suggests all kinds of exciting color combinations!

BFromM  – (November 6, 2012 at 11:10 AM)

The first one is much more appealing to me. It looks like threads, all ready to be used. Plus mixing them all together looks more like a design, where the colors would be mixed around on the canvas.

What does it say about me? I don't mind messes that much? (I could already tell you that!)

ilana –   – (November 6, 2012 at 11:13 AM)

I prefer the serene second picture. It relaxes the eye and the brain, which is what needlework does for me. It looks rich and generous whereas the first one doesn't give me a suggestion of how much of each fiber is available.

ncstitcher2000  – (November 6, 2012 at 11:29 AM)

EmByebrumWhat a fabulous array of colors you have chosen. I prefer the first picture as it looks more inviting to be able to hunt through all those threads. THanks for your kindness in offering this give away.

Susan :-)

Kate  – (November 6, 2012 at 11:39 AM)

I like the second photo. You can see all the different lovely!!!! things.

Jamie Reft –   – (November 6, 2012 at 12:01 PM)

The first picture is beautiful and exciting but the second one is much clearly regarding the actual colors.
I would use both pictures to market the piece.

Jamie

Arlene White  – (November 6, 2012 at 12:52 PM)

The second one, it's much more organised and suites my personally better. Thanks for the chance to grab some threads.

Rinda Just  – (November 6, 2012 at 1:52 PM)

Photo #2. Definitely. I'm a Virgo. I'm all about order. And nothing gets me salivating more than rows and rows of perfectly arranged threads. Oh my.

natalysneedle  – (November 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM)

For me, photo #2. It gets the wheels turning of all the things I could create with such colors while the first picture has me wanting to sort and organize the fibers first. Thanks for the giveaway.

Anonymous –   – (November 6, 2012 at 2:01 PM)

Definitely photo #1 - one sure would think it was a shot from my house but I don't have that many spools etc. of each color! Ohhh, I would love to just run my fingers through them to experience the texture and play with the color combinations. Sensory Overload for sure!

Pick Me! the threads say in the first picture.
Pick me! with all these other possbilities.
Pick Me! I belong with all these threads.
Pick Me! I want to go home with Diane and be stitched into something beautiful in Aotearoa.

Lelia  – (November 6, 2012 at 3:30 PM)

IMO - the mess. The pile of fibers is more interesting to look at. In the pile, there are a good mix of colors next to each other and you get a good idea of the amazing colorways possible!

When things are in perfect order, it seems boring, and I think the perfect order shouldn't be disturbed.

trish21042  – (November 6, 2012 at 3:32 PM)

I prefer photo 1. Everytime you reach into the pile, you come up with a new surprise!!! Photo 2, you know immediately everything you have. While it would be nice to have, more exciting the other way. thanks

Rebel Blossom @ Studio 2sixty  – (November 6, 2012 at 3:59 PM)

Both photos are lovely...but photo 2 speaks to me...it reminds me of rainbows, and I like things in order so I can see what I have.

Thank you for the opportunity!

Pat W-S  – (November 6, 2012 at 4:16 PM)

I love the first one - it makes me want to plunge my hands right into those gorgeous threads. However, I love number 2 for my anal side. They both make me happy but pulling for a piece would be easier for me with number 2. It is number 2.

Thanks for this. paws

Dawna –   – (November 6, 2012 at 4:27 PM)

I definitely respond to photo 2 more favorably. I just want to organize photo 1, but explore the colors and relationships in photo 2. What does that say about me?

Jen  – (November 6, 2012 at 4:28 PM)

Am I buying the lot? Then I like the second one. So I can easily see all the pretties I am getting. Is it a eye candy type shot to get my interest? DEFINITELY the first one. Last bit of feedback: the yellow lighting cast is not attractive to my eyes, but as I am new to your site, I don't know what your usual styling is. Going to check out your sale now! Thanks for the giveaway!

The first one- it is so inspiring - and lets me see things in a new way..... which is half the battle right?

Unknown  – (November 6, 2012 at 5:15 PM)

I love the Gorgeous Mess, I can see how all the colors play together.

Singtatter  – (November 6, 2012 at 5:22 PM)

The 2nd photo makes me happier. I can see how much there are of each, how many different colours there are. There is no way to imagine or visualise these info at all in the 1st photo.

Unknown  – (November 6, 2012 at 5:41 PM)

My favorite picture is the one with everything in order. Looking at the "messy" one make me want to sort it :) However on that note, I love the colors and it has a bit of a fallish feeling with a little pizazz! I think preferring the neat photo reflects where I'm at in life. The last couple of years have been spent cleaning and sorting. Getting my creative life in order.

Thanks for having this give-a-way.
I tried to message you, but it kept saying that I went over the 300 character count, oh well :)

~Charlotte~

Sandy  – (November 6, 2012 at 6:22 PM)

I like the second picture because when I look at the first I think OMG is that silk getting snagged? But then I like my threads neatly presented when I picking them out.

giddy99  – (November 6, 2012 at 6:27 PM)

I love order and structure, but the first photo is appealing to me (I think because I want to straighten it out), and it looks like a happy time to be had!

Debbie  – (November 6, 2012 at 6:48 PM)

The first one, for sure. It keeps the eyes moving. The second one, boring. What's that white thing that looks like a fan? Thanks for the giveaway, Orna!

Stitchlaw  – (November 6, 2012 at 6:56 PM)

I like the second photo better - it's partly the order and partly the "rainbow" effect when the colors are grouped rather than jumbled together. I suppose this preference is the war between my left brain and right brain. I'm a lawyer and I have to have order in my day, but I need the creativity of working with fiber to keep my soul happy!

Regina  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:15 PM)

I like the second one - more to see and you can see how the colors work together.

Miriam Prantner  – (November 6, 2012 at 7:55 PM)

I like the second one better...especially after seeing it. Reason is I feel like I don't clearly see the colors in the first one, that I might have missed something.

Laura in SP  – (November 6, 2012 at 8:05 PM)

The gorgeous mess is my choice from a purely aesthetic view. It just seems to be spontaneous and free and gives the illusion that you can achieve so many combinations. The second one is rigid and orderly and not a lot of fun. Of course, if I were shopping, number 2 would be my choice. But I am not shopping, I am just choosing eye candy. Thanks for the giveaway!

Ginger –   – (November 6, 2012 at 8:07 PM)

I prefer the second photo. The first looks too jumbled and you cannot see all the colors. I love color and "playing" with color. To me that playing and making choices can only be done when you can really see all the possibilities.
Ginger

Anonymous –   – (November 6, 2012 at 8:26 PM)

The second is more appealing to me. I need things to be in order before I can start a project.

Thanks for the chance.

Pixie Cat  – (November 6, 2012 at 10:41 PM)

I like the first one best. I like how you don't see everything at once like in the ordered picture. It looks more like a mound of treasure where you never know what you might find.

PoniaDvi  – (November 6, 2012 at 11:46 PM)

I would vote for the 1st one. To me it is creative mess. It brings surprise, it allows imagination to work when searching between the treads. It allows my eyes to shine and fingers feel the texture and smoothiness of the treads without even touching and imagine the wonderful oprojects I can make. The 2nd one puts all in order and traps imagination into the frame.

rosewendy  – (November 7, 2012 at 12:16 AM)

I like to see neatly laid out samples so number 2 for me. Although the first picture does have appeal if I am in the mood for soaking up lots of loveliness just for the joy of it.

Marjolein  – (November 7, 2012 at 12:20 AM)

I definitely love the ordered one. It is just easier to pick the "right" thread. But I must admit that when I'm working my table looks more like a mess.

Edith Bieri-Hanselmann  – (November 7, 2012 at 12:34 AM)

For me the first photo is much more appealing.
Greetings from Switzerland

liniecat  – (November 7, 2012 at 1:47 AM)

The first..........lol
- although the second would suggest Id find things far easier!
Its not that the first is messy...exactly,
no, its a more creatively natural balance and harmony of textures, colours and......possibilities.
Sometimes I think we crave too much control over things in our lives, too much order and boundary.
I feed on the spontanious, the mix.
Its an interesting question thanks! It made me think !!

hextat  – (November 7, 2012 at 2:37 AM)

For inspiration, photo #1; for selling, photo #2.

jackie  – (November 7, 2012 at 2:42 AM)

I guess I'm a neat freak but the second photo is much more appealing to me. Gorgeous colors by the way.

Sue  – (November 7, 2012 at 3:06 AM)

I would pick the first photo. There is nothing about me is in order LOL I am drawn to different, I am not sure what this says about me so anyway made me give so thought about myself. Thank you

Wendy –   – (November 7, 2012 at 4:11 AM)

First photo...I think it's more artistic. It looks like something you want to rummage through and get lost in.

playsculptlive  – (November 7, 2012 at 4:15 AM)

I prefer the first photo. It has more possibilities, it gets my creative juices flowing more than the the ordered one. That one is good if I've already made up my mind of what I want to do.

Cobi  – (November 7, 2012 at 4:19 AM)

I love the first photo. it invites to rummage through the threads. my stash of machine threads and embroidery yarns are less organised that yours in the upper photo.

Anonymous –   – (November 7, 2012 at 4:36 AM)

Definitely the second - orderly photo. The jumbled mess turns me off immediately, and I would pass it over as if it wasn't there. The mess messes with my head just to look at it.
Jean

dragonswing  – (November 7, 2012 at 4:38 AM)

I like the first photo better. It invites me to start looking through the threads. The second one reminds me of a vegetable stand.

Unknown  – (November 7, 2012 at 4:39 AM)

I love the first one because the randomness inspires me to be creative. I can see all kinds of projects come to life by jumbling the thread in different ways. I love organizing my crafts a great deal but when I see a pile it pushes my thinking in new ways. Even if I have decided on a project it gives me ideas for the future.

Darlene C –   – (November 7, 2012 at 4:47 AM)

I adore the first photo I can not think in linear terms the randomness of the photo allows my brain to imagine all of the possibilities... The static picture amkes me just think of thread.

Pam in IL  – (November 7, 2012 at 5:10 AM)

The top pic appeals to me in that "kid on Christmas morning" way because it provides such an enormous opportunity for creating something beautiful.

On the other hand, the second pic appeals to me if I were trying to choose a color scheme or decide on the order of color use.

Cathy H  – (November 7, 2012 at 5:19 AM)

Would LOVE to win. The first picture is my pick. I look at it longer to see what's there. Random allows for more creativity as two threads you might not think of putting together may end up on top of each other.

I prefer the 2nd picture. Having the threads in order would make finding the one you want easier to find. It also gives an idea of what colors are available. Thanks!

Carol- Beads and Birds  – (November 7, 2012 at 5:37 AM)

The second one, especially if I am choosing a color to buy. Its much easier to compare colors and choose.

Bamasphynx  – (November 7, 2012 at 5:42 AM)

I like the first one. It reminds me of a treasure hunt. Everytime you look there is something new and exciting! I love all the colors. thank you for a great give-a-way!

Kathi  – (November 7, 2012 at 5:53 AM)

I love Gorgeous Mess! My brain is disorderly, I find comfort in limited chaos.

Meari  – (November 7, 2012 at 6:59 AM)

I like the first photo the best. It's like a treasure hunt to see what's in the pile.

asteride  – (November 7, 2012 at 7:01 AM)

I love the Gorgeous Mess. You mix, you search, you go deeper and in the end you look at it all and find a color combination or a new idea you would have never thought about.

Mary Mac  – (November 7, 2012 at 7:11 AM)

I am one who loves order in my craft room so "gorgeous order is my pick" but yor first photo is fun. "Gorgeous mess" does let your mind wonder to what is in that pile. Love how you name them.

Char B. –   – (November 7, 2012 at 7:13 AM)

Number 1 is appealing at first but then frustrating because I couldn't focus on the colors and texture of each individual thread. So definitely I prefer photo 2.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Leah  – (November 7, 2012 at 7:20 AM)

I like the second photo. I like to see things arranged all neat and in rows.

stitchinrose  – (November 7, 2012 at 7:22 AM)

I like the second photo best, as it should me which ones I would grab first...

shortseam  – (November 7, 2012 at 7:54 AM)

Actually I like number one picture better. The pic makes me want to dig in to see what treasures await below the surface. The second pic is too predictable, boring.

Michele T  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:15 AM)

I like photo one - it appeals to a mysterious element.... what is in there... what is underneath...

Lynn  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:16 AM)

#2. #1 becomes just too chaotic. maybe because my entire dining table is covered with projects right now. the order of the second photo gives me more instant inspiration and ideas.

Maneki  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:22 AM)

Tricky question, actually. Of cause I like a creative mess and seeing colour mixes as in no 1, but on the other hand it's like someone mentioned before me: after than first glance I want to see all the colours in there and then photo 2 is the better one. Also it makes the colours show up better as it's sort of like colour blocking, concentrating each colour to one space. It's easy to see colours and textures then.

I do mix up my skeins and spools when storing (at least to a point, there's structure and order behind the on the surface messy-looking storage), but still like the second photo as it's also neat and tidy like in the local yarn shop.

Had it just been skeins, not spools, in the first pic it'd probably be my favourite. For me, the white of the spools detracts attention from the thread colours a bit and makes it look too messy.

I like the bottom three photos because they are organized and you can see everything that you have there.
I would love to get some thread for embroidery and thank you for the give-away.

Jane S.  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:31 AM)

I much prefer the second picture. It's neat and orderly and it's very easy to see everything. The colors seem bolder and richer when they're all gathered together like that.

Yes, I'm very aware of what the neat and orderly preference says about me. :) I live in chaos at the moment so I need to get my calm where I can.

superstitches  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:32 AM)

Visually it is easier to see what is in the "organized" photo. From a creative prospective the "mess" is visually more appealing. So if I were trying to buy a kit I'd prefer the orderly one.

swakins  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:50 AM)

Well I like the first one, it looks like some creativity is going on. In the second picture it looks like some cleaning is going on. swakins@aol.com

Kylie Carlson  – (November 7, 2012 at 9:14 AM)

The first photo appeals to me much more. You get to see the products all together and how they can combine. The second photo is too sterile with the large blocks of the same product. If I wanted to know exactly what was in the collection a photo with one of each item would be nice as a secondary photo.

Unknown  – (November 7, 2012 at 9:44 AM)

I like both because I have good days and bad days. On day one I just could not careless how things are packed (which is more often)and on day twos the good days I am so fussy and everything has to be just so. But I would go for number one which has the surprise element to it.
I hope I win , fingers crossed xx

Kathrynn  – (November 7, 2012 at 10:05 AM)

I prefer the first photo, it suggests many more combinations than the second more ordered photo

Anonymous –   – (November 7, 2012 at 10:31 AM)

Definitely the second one. It's hard to pick out what all is in the first picture

Anne in NC  – (November 7, 2012 at 10:55 AM)

The first one is more creative and exciting, so I like it more. The second one seems pretty ordinary.

wanda –   – (November 7, 2012 at 11:03 AM)

4I like the first foto because that is the way I am...

Anonymous –   – (November 7, 2012 at 11:05 AM)

I like the first pic! It represents how my brain approaches creativity!

Susan  – (November 7, 2012 at 1:08 PM)

To me, the second photo represents these lovely things at the store, and the first photo is after I get home, when I'm deciding what it's all going to become. I much prefer the first photo, because then it's mine to play with and create!
Thanks for a chance to win!

The first picture gets my vote. It looks more full and luxurious which really entices me. It also stimulates my creativity (my Muse).

The second photo is informational but not as inspiring.

Thank you for offering these wonderful goodies as a giveaway!

The FIRST picture makes me think TREASURE! It's during the discovery I'm inspired. Gorgeous colors, luscious texture, oh I MUST MAKE SOMETHING WITH THIS!

My favorite is photo one. Because, in my mind it makes me wonder what kind of awesome goodies are hidden beneath the pile of awesomeness. Thanks for the chance

maggie  – (November 7, 2012 at 3:56 PM)

I have to say the first photo is the most appealing to me. It is just brings out the creativity in me. I could play withe threads over and over again, perhaps ending up with photo 2 in the end, ..but it would be fun.
thanks for the chance to win.
cheers

The second photo shows how I would store the threads in between projects. But when I am trying to decide what threads to use, I'll pick the first picture. So many possibilities, a mini treasure hunt, what new threads are hiding. The first photo appeals to the artist within.

JaneT  – (November 7, 2012 at 6:10 PM)

The gorgeous mess is the one that makes me happier. Why? Because I am ADD and things like this are much more interesting than little soldiers in straight lines. The reason it is more appealing is because we can never get them all lined up nice and neat and it is frustrating to see such wonderful order.

Valerie –   – (November 7, 2012 at 6:42 PM)

I love the look of all the threads jumbled together. I think that it gives a better idea of how all those threads would look plating together in a piece.

Yvonne (yrd@hotmail.com) –   – (November 7, 2012 at 7:23 PM)

Hi,

I like the one where the threads are organized. That way you can see what colors you have and how many.

bejaap  – (November 7, 2012 at 8:35 PM)

I like photo number two it is much more pleasing to my eye.

Darcy  – (November 7, 2012 at 9:27 PM)

definitely the second picture...it's clean and bright and orderly...LOVE it!!

crafter1953  – (November 7, 2012 at 9:38 PM)

Hi, well I looked at both and the one that stands out to me the most is photo number 1. I know it is a mess but it just garbed me and told me that I wanted what they were selling.

Guntaja  – (November 8, 2012 at 3:43 AM)

For me, the first one is MUCH more appealing. It makes me want to get my hands on the fibers, messy them more, and make something from them.
The second is too much boring.

Susan  – (November 8, 2012 at 4:53 AM)

I prefer picture #2, a beautiful rainbow of color. Nice and neat and well organized. Gives a clear picture of what fibers you have at hand. Picture one although I would love to grab those threads and squeeze them is in too much disarray for me.

Jen  – (November 8, 2012 at 4:55 AM)

first one is much more appealing for eye candy but second is more appealing if I was looking to buy a lot of something, easier to see what I am getting.

vivian  – (November 8, 2012 at 5:14 AM)

I like picture 1 because it makes me thing that you are too busy sewing to stop and sort. This is how all thread boxes look like after sewing alot. I like to organized once in a while that way I find stuff I have been looking for. Makes it fun.

Also you may even see two colors that go together that you wouldn't have put together !!!

The second picture would have me salivating and sold on the products. The first one would have me running, screaming in terror! I have a very difficult time knowing where to begin, so I'd definitely have to go with the second one to save my sanity.

Rose  – (November 8, 2012 at 12:27 PM)

I prefer the second photo. I think I suffer a bit from OCD because I always like all things in their own place.

christinebolin  – (November 8, 2012 at 12:30 PM)

The first picture makes my mouth water. All that gorgeous thread! But, I would pick the second picture because it's already organized, and I have real issues about keeping things organized. It's too hard for me to organize anything.

Emily C  – (November 8, 2012 at 1:01 PM)

I love gorgeous order. I am vey organized and love having what I want right where I can put my hand on it at a moments notice.

JustCallMeElle  – (November 8, 2012 at 6:52 PM)

The first photo: Photo One - A gorgeous mess.
It's so luxurious to me. Thanks!

Rayeesa  – (November 8, 2012 at 8:32 PM)

Mrs. K At Home  – (November 11, 2012 at 4:50 AM)

I prefer the first photo, the gorgeous mess, it is indeed gorgeous. It inspires right from the first look, I can see all sorts of things, ideas, possibilities. It makes my fingers ache to taken up my needle.
Too much organization tends to inhibit my creative flow. Aside from that, as A A Milne said, "One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries." There's a world of discoveries waiting within that gorgeous mess.

I pefer the 2nd photo, although sometimes my stash of craffting items looks more like the 1st pic. Thanks for the chance to try to win.

shortseam  – (November 27, 2012 at 5:32 AM)

The first picture is for me. This pic makes me want to dig through it to see the treasures below. This is not stuffy and leaves room to express yourself leaving the imagination to work and is not set like the second pic. Thank you for the giveaway.
