Many teachers taught that we should use the same color as the bead - but... one ends up with a "bug" - a bead with legs. I also started using fishing line some time ago because of its strength. With time, threads disintegrate and beads begin to go. I discovered that purchasing at Walmart of all places, at the fishing isle, it comes in different sizes and weights and clear, it also reads/blue, but it is clear and costs less than at a craft store.
