This weekend I finished sending out the last of the new Cyberworkshop kits, completed two small stitched pieces that accompany my new series on color in Needlepoint Now, (I decided to spill the beans),and completed the stitch guide for Painted Quail! I feel so good about these accomplishments.
The stitch guide is available in the shop, right here. To make the process of writing the guide more enjoyable for me, I worked on a beautiful layout with tons of photos and illustrations.
Our place is moving forward. I did take photos but all of them were very out of focus. I'll try again later.
Does anyone own an iPad? What do you use it for? Please talk me out of one!
Beautiful as always, Orna!
I can haz threadkit for Quail? In other words, are you offering one?
You deserve to feel very good about everything you've done, your design is just elegant. I especially love what looks like felt leaves? Very clever. Now, will you tell me what you used for the quail's feet?
No iPad here unfortunately, I'm about 2 years overdue for a new phone. :)
I have looked into offering a kit for the Quail however here is my dilemma... there are some threads that I only used in small amounts. Your own stash is a great source for these bits. There are a total of 26 different threads that I used on the bird. This would make the kit with the canvas and guide close to $200 and leave people with lots of left over threads. What are your thoughts?
The leaves are done in Ultrasuede and the feet are outlined with 18 gauge copper wire. I loved doing this piece, so much fun!!
I LOVE this quail! Fabulous work...can't wait to see the rest of the birds.
